In this interview I talk with the To Do Collective (Michelle Montjoy, Anna O’Cain, and Siobhán Arnold) about To Do – A Mending Project at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Downtown San Diego. See information and links below.
From the Website:
To Do · A Mending Project is a project created by artists Michelle Montjoy, Anna O’Cain, and Siobhán Arnold, in response to the escalation of political, social, and economic tensions in the United States that have increased a sense of divisiveness within our culture. Beginning in 2018 with an artists residency at 1805 Gallery in downtown San Diego, the artists organized and taught a series of workshops on topics ranging from traditional, domestic, and repair tasks to movement, breathing, and sound. While the act of repair is within their own artistic practices, they have also sought the support of their community, asking other artists, repairers, and activists to share their knowledge.
